1对五行术语翻译的简单论说现有五行术语的翻译有三个弊端.①一语多译.例如,五行的译法就有下列多种:five elements;FiveElements:the five elements;the Five Elements;five evolutive phases;five evolutive phases(wood,fire,earth,metal,water);the five evolutive phases;the Five Evolutive Phases;the five primary elements;the activities of the five principles in action;referring to the activities of the five principles of action--wood,fire,earth,metal and water;Wu-Xing.②不甚准确.例如,"five elements"已流行多时,但它却只译出了"五行"的"五"而没有译出"行".
